The primary purpose of a sauna is to relax bodybuilding and eliminate lactic acid. In a Nordic sauna, we try to saturate the body with heat. The Nordic sauna is heated to a higher temperature than a regular sauna.
The body wants to maintain its temperature at 37 degrees Celsius, so it will seek to expel excess heat by increasing its heart rate, opening the pores of the skin and sweating.
Once the body is saturated with heat, we want to force it to keep it. We will immerse it in cold water to close the pores of skin. Since the body is trying to expel the heat, the cold will not get inside.
When the pores open again, the heat escapes, the heart rate decreases and a feeling of lightness and well-being appears, which provides a unique relaxation.
